HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON THE MUSICAL JR - DRAGON SQUAD

An exciting introduction to musical theatre! A fun mix of singing, dancing, and acting, Dragon Squad cast members will participate in ensemble numbers with the principal cast of How to Train Your Dragon the Musical JR.

Rehearsals:
Wednesday 4:30-5:30pm beginning Wednesday, September 23
REQUIRED Sunday rehearsal November 22, 1:00-2:30pm This Sunday 11/22 rehearsal is required for participation in How to Train Your Dragon JR and conflicts will not be accepted.
Tech Week Rehearsals: Wednesday, December 2 or Thursday, December 3 (depending on which cast they are assigned), 5:15-8:45pm.
No tech week rehearsal conflicts accepted - cast members must be available for their scheduled tech rehearsal.
Performances: December 4-6 and 11-13
No performance conflicts accepted - cast members must be available for all scheduled performances

Auditions will not be held for Dragon Squad. Enrollment is limited but ALL registered students will be cast in this production!

How to Train Your Dragon the Musical JR will be double-cast. Squad members will be cast in either the Hiccup Cast OR the Toothless Cast. Each Squad member will perform in a total of FOUR performances - two performances the weekend of December 4-6 and two performances the weekend of December 11-13.

Squad call times for performances are typically one hour before the show begins.

Rehearsal conflicts:
Cast families must respond to the Rehearsal Conflicts Survey before we assign students to the Hiccup or Toothless casts and declare any conflicts with the published rehearsal schedule. Cast members may have a limited number of pre-approved rehearsal conflicts and still have a successful experience if those conflicts are submitted before casting. Parent Volunteer Hours:
Dragon Squad cast families are required to volunteer at least 4 hours for this production or to buyout the required volunteer hours at $20 per hour. Volunteer opportunities include helping make costumes, set painting, set building, costume or prop shopping, providing supervision at dress rehearsals and performances, ushering, selling concessions, etc. All volunteer hours must be submitted within one week of the show’s closing date. If required hours are not met or hours are not submitted by the deadline, a charge of $25 per unfulfilled hour will be applied to your account. Per our new board policy, future registrations will not be allowed with a balance still remaining on your account.

Tickets:
Tickets for How to Train Your Dragon the Musical JR will be available via our online box office on Friday, October 2. Dragon Squad cast members will be assigned to the Hiccup cast or the Toothless cast after the first rehearsal and cast lists will be sent to all cast families before tickets go on sale. 

BAND app:
Sign up for the Dragon Squad BAND group! This is where we will be sharing all How to Train Your Dragon the Musical JR - Dragon Squad cast updates!
