AGES 4-6 Classes:
Theatre Tots (Ages 4-6) $99
Does your child sing and dance all day? Do they love to dress up and play make-believe? Then they will love discovering the wonderful world of musical theatre through this foundational class! Using props, costumes, crafts, puppets, and more this class helps develop language skills, emotional literacy, and build self-confidence. Theatrical role-playing also allows children to glimpse the life of others and to become sensitive to those different from themselves. Most importantly - it's a ton of fun! This class is teacher-led with parent support. Our energetic instructors create a fun, inclusive learning experience that will engage and develop the pint-sized player with a blend of arts education, character development and age-appropriate a engaging activities.
Students love our fun, weekly themes such as cowpokes, super heroes, mythical creatures, fairy tales, and more!

Broadway Kids student performance will be held May 27, 2025 at the end of the class session.
Know a kid who loves the stage and can’t wait to be a part of the fun at Upstart Crow?! Broadway Kids provides age-appropriate introductions to the foundations of Acting, Singing, and Dance for musical theatre. This class is the first step in the journey for those kids longing to be Broadway stars! From basic techniques to staging and performance, cast members are fully immersed in all things theatre. Students will re-create musical theatre numbers from family-favorite musicals in addition to learning the basics of theatre through storytelling and short scripts. This class might be the first step in your student’s years-long theatre journey!

Acting I (WED) student performance will be held May 28, 2025 at the end of the class session.
Acting I is designed for newcomers curious about acting, or those who’ve previously dipped their toes in, and are now ready to take the plunge to add foundational skills to their actor's toolbox! Students will learn and improve skills such as timing, diction, body language, facial expression, eye contact, and action vs. reaction. Once foundational skills have been established, students will be cast in a group scene or short play (Max. 15 min) and rehearse within their class, utilizing their foundational acting skills to prepare for an end of the term performance, where students will perform their scene or short play for invited guests.

Find the confidence to explore, project and gain stage presence through the art of improvisation! Students in this class will concentrate on developing a range of vocal, physical, and imaginative skills through fun improv games and exercises. Participants will be challenged to break out of their comfort zone, learn teamwork, and discover the power of a positive attitude. These concepts are fundamentals that all actors work on to continue their growth as an artist!

Once foundational skills have been established, students will be cast in a group scene or short play (Max. 15 min) and rehearse within their class, utilizing their foundational acting skills to prepare for the Term-End showcase, where students will perform their scene or short play for invited guests.

Acting II student performance will be held May 29, 2025 at the end of the class session.
Acting II is designed for (GR 6+) students with previous acting experience or looking to reinforce and build upon foundational acting skills already in the actor’s toolbox. Students will develop skills surrounding character development, improvisation, choosing and practicing monologues, storytelling, and everything it takes to be prepared for an audition. Students will be cast in a group scene or short play (Max. 15 min) rehearsing during their class sessions, utilizing their new skills to prepare for the end of term performance where students will perform their scene or short play for invited guests.
